It's been a longer while since we visited Veilside to view the Fortune FD

Replicating real life is tough...

You may like to think Assetto corsa and sims are a replacement... but they are 100% not!

The essence is there. but the emotion, cost, effort and consequence is not.

It's not worse... It's just a different kind of enjoyment.

I can replicate a lot of the cars I have owned.

and try some you only dream of... but it's definitely not the violent ear bleeding 1200hp you can feel

Assetto and it's ripped models are cool though.

Rip it at Oi and don't go to prison.

and reverse entries at Fuji, just like Kawabata.

If you like driving... sims can replace a lot.

But it can't replace the things that inspire the game's creation. That's what I still crave.

Derlip Hills track has some great features. Flat out switch in 3rd gear.

Chopped the corner in full chase.

Settled for attack.

And plough on.

mistakes are common as the push is real.

Sometimes a little wide, sometimes a little narrow.

but there are those OOOOOHHHHHH moments that you don't realise when you are driving.
You are just trying to set a line or get close.

Thats why I watch the replays.

So you can enjoy your effort.

Some great runs with friends and strangers.
